What Happens When We Die? A Psychic Medium Explains

One of the questions I get asked most often as a psychic medium is this:

“What actually happens when we die?”

It’s such a natural question to ask. When we lose someone we love, the mind wants to understand where they’ve gone and whether they’re okay.

From my experience working with spirit for many years, what I’ve come to understand is that death isn’t really an ending. It’s a transition.

We move from the physical world into the spirit world.

And the spirit world is not somewhere far away. It exists at a different frequency, but it is still deeply connected to us.

Very often, when someone is close to passing, they begin to sense loved ones who have already crossed over. You might notice them talking to someone who isn’t physically in the room, or reaching out as if they can see someone.

This can sometimes feel confusing to those around them, but from a spiritual perspective, it is often because spirits are coming to greet them and help them transition.

I have heard this time and time again through readings and through my work with spirit.

When someone crosses into the spirit world, there is often a feeling of peace, familiarity, and recognition. It can feel like returning home.

Many people are reunited with loved ones who have passed before them, family members, friends, and sometimes even beloved pets.

One of the most comforting things spirits share is that love doesn’t disappear when someone dies.

The connection between souls continues.

Just because we can’t see someone physically anymore doesn’t mean they’re no longer around us.

Spirit often communicates through subtle signs, a feeling of presence, a memory that suddenly pops into your mind, repeating symbols, or a strong sense that your loved one is close.

These little moments can be their way of letting you know:

“I’m still here.”

Of course, the spirit world is something none of us can fully explain while we’re in the physical body. There will always be a mystery to it.

But what I do know, through years of working with spirit, is that nobody truly passes alone, and love never ends.
