The Energy Detox I Swear By After Holding Space for Others

There’s something no one tells you when you begin this work, whether you’re a healer, a carer, a sensitive soul, or someone who simply holds space for others.
Even if your heart is full… your energy can still feel drained.
It’s not about being “too open” or “too emotional.”
It’s about the energetic exchange that happens when you deeply listen, care, support, or intuitively hold space, whether in a reading, a conversation, or even scrolling your inbox.

🧘♀️ Why Energy Needs Clearing, Not Just Rest
We cleanse our bodies. We tidy our homes. But our energy?
Most people forget that we absorb subtle vibrations all the time.
If I go straight from a powerful session into my day without clearing, I feel foggy. My body aches. My intuition dims.
So I created a simple, loving ritual that helps me reset completely.
It’s not elaborate or dramatic, just deeply intentional.
🔮 My After-Session Energy Detox Ritual
Here’s exactly what I do to release what’s not mine and refill myself again:

Close the Energy Loop
I thank Spirit, the client, and the space. I say out loud, “This session is complete. I release all that isn’t mine.” -
Wipe Down My Aura
Using a selenite wand or my hands, I brush around my body, especially my shoulders, chest, and heart. You don’t need a tool. Just intention. -
Salt & Water Reset
I run my hands under cold water or take a quick salt bath. If I’m short on time, I place a bowl of salt near me while I work and discard it after. -
Breathe It Out
Three deep breaths. On each exhale, I imagine sending all residual energy back to the Earth, where it can be neutralised and reused. -
Finish With One Word
Peace. Clear. Whole. Grounded. I speak one word aloud that anchors me back into me.

You don’t need to be a full-time healer to benefit from this.

Start with a one-minute reset. After a call, a hard day, or an emotional moment, pause and ask:
“Is this mine?”
Then breathe, release, and return to yourself.
